If you seek for a totally different kind of adventure, Siaton can give you one. It’s been a common outdoor activity to go out and seek for some marvelous adventure experience. At this point, let’s switch to a more religious side – a holy place. Aside from Siaton’s historical church, there rose a big shrine of Our Lady of Fatima amidst the trees going up to the mountains. When you are traveling along the highways going North, take a good look at the left side of the road, watch the hills and stare on the leaves of the trees. In the middle of the green scheme covered by nature is an enormous statue of Mother Mary – the Fatima Shrine. Many people are going up the hill to spend their time with the Virgin Mary, offering prayers and praises. This is their devotion to Our Lady of Fatima. Isn’t is great to be their? The nature’s Sacred Place.

Lake Balanan

A place that’s a gift from heaven, discovered and possessed by nature, enhanced and taken care of the people. This is the famous Lake Balanan, situated at the middle of the hills covered by trees and friendly plants.

Some people said, “It is dangerous to go there. It is an enchanted place. Other unnatural beings are living around the place, others are under the water.” Some would comment that it is a superstitious belief, but most of the old folks firmly believe in that.

Whether it is true or not, you cannot stop the fame. More and more people come to visit and enjoy the beauty of the Lake itself. Nowadays, the local government also takes care of the place and provide security to those who come and visit the place. Floating cottages are developed in certain parts of the lake. Refreshing swimming pools are created.And for those who want to explore the Lake’s entire body, there are available “bangkas” for them to ride into. Bangka is a local term referring to a boat manually driven by the person who’s riding in it.

So come and enjoy this exciting ride.
