Likewise, it gives light and life to every home all over the town. Since Siaton is an agricultural town wherein a good harvest of rice and corn is abundant, milling machines and stations were developed in order to cater milling services to the people. Later on, a gasoline station was built to supply fuel to the people running machines ran by petroleum products. Caltex, which is one of the biggest oil companies in the Philippines is the pioneering gas station in Siaton. Then, the Petron gas station was built in Barangay Sumaliring. This gas station is the most popular because it offers all-in-one service – a gas station, a restobar, boutique and a mini grocery store.
Due to the fact that more Siatanons go to far places and big cities and neighboring islands to seek jobs, the demand for a communication services like telephone went up. Thus, telephone stations and booths were developed to eliminate the barriers of communication between the relatives and families from the other places. The companies like PT&T, RCPI and PLDT opened their business in Siaton.
Entertainment through televisions is also one of the favorite past times of every family. The common and primitive method in television channel viewing was through an antenna. Due to limited channels with the use of the antenna, people earned and improvised the use of signal booster to simply boost the signal received by the antenna to produce a clear reception to channels or even acquire signal to view other channels. And due to its feasibility, cell phones are now considered a necessity to almost all of the families in Siaton especially to those who have children working or studying in other places.
After the introduction of cell phones to Siaton, the use of computers was introduced as the latest technological update in town. Siatanon’s current generations love computers. Just like the others, Siatanons especially the children want to play online games, adults like to chat, surf the net and other would want to watch video using these computers. As a result, a lot of computer shops started to open their services to cater such technological need. But computers are not just for playing, chatting, surfing or streaming videos. I also want to introduce the latest way of earning through computers.
