Key Loss: Mark Barroca

Undeniably true, Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws is the strongest and the most complete team this season. Although the team has been hit by the scandal involving Mark Barroca which led him to leave the team in the middle of the season, RR Garcia, rookie by then, has been the hope that the team has been waiting for; he started to step up with him playing the greatest role. And they’re back!

With Coach Glenn Capacio to lead them, the team is still intact with boosted morale. They are so motivated.

It has to be noted that FEU has a great four-man rotation; last year’s MVP runner-up Aldrech Ramos together with Pipo Noudou, Riel Cervantes and Mark Bringas, a brother to Arvie. That quatet will poind the boards like crazy, offering up a host of second-chance opportunities while denying their opponents the same. And that’s really good news for a great shooter like RR Garcia who always has a green light from Coach Glenn Capacio to fire away. Additionally, JR Cawaling and the FEU-FERN product Terrence Romeo can have good plays too. Anyway, Romeo owns a juniors record for scoring 83 points.

However, it has to be seen first before we can say that they really are the best of the best in University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) this season. Let’s see if the team can easily and successfully operate with their new triangle offense strategy and to avoid yet another off-court distraction.
