Pinoy Pride 2: Condes TKOed Horikawa in the 7th Round
WATERFRONT HOTEL, Cebu City – Former world champion Pinoy boxer Florante ‘Little Pacquiao’ Condes won over Japan’s Kenichi Horikawa via a Technical Knockout in the 7th round.
Horikawa (20-9-1, 4KO) has his own style of frustrating the pinoy boxer by not mixing with his style of fighting. However, Condes (22-5-1, 20KO) has a good strategy of connecting his punches causing the upper portion of the left eye of the Japanese to start bleeding. Upon sensing that the Japanese is hurt, Condes never stopped attacking.
Early in the 7th round the referee stopped the fight to let the ring physician check Horikawa’s eye, the fight resumed until, finally, the referee stopped the fight giving Condes a winning TKO.
The fight ended at 2:40 in the 7th round when Horikawa was about the fall due to pressing attacks of Condes.
