Consider the Age – younger derby cocks are most likely to lose to the older ones. Thus, you should always consider the age of your fighting cock before you set it into the pit to fight. The most appropriate age is two years with proper conditioning. Therefore, it is important you know the age of your fighting cock.

These tips are practical enough that subconsciously you may be doing it. However, without considering these tips you cannot expect to have a better chance in a fight.
