Philippines is considered as a third-world country because development is so slow and industrialization is not our line of business. In the most recent studies, about 2.5 million of professionals are unemployed while 75% of those who have job are underemployed; meaning they have job but they have to find other sources of income.

Now, either you have a job, looking for extra source of income or no job at all, making money online is for you.

Making money online in the Philippines is easier than you thought. You may have heard about people who are earning thousands of dollars online each month; well, most of them are true as I am one of them. What I mean is I am one of the people who are earning online but I don’t belong to the people who are earning thousands of dollars.

The point is, you can also earn online if you start now. I admit, there is no easy way to earn. However, making money online is easier than working in a construction. The good thing is, you will be earning higher without breaking a sweat.

There are different ways to earn online, and some of them are as follow;

1. Article Writing – this is the easiest for me. I gave up my job in a call center to make a living with writing. It’s been a year now that I don’t have a proper job but my family is living a life as if me and my wife have jobs.

Going back to the topic, writers are needed online. Here’s why;

Internet is useless without websites or blogs which offer contents that provide information to the readers. But a website is also useless without contents or articles. There are billions of websites and they need to be updated every now and then; that’s where the job enters.

I know a writer who is making around $4,000 in a month; he writes for websites/blogs, magazines, newspapers, etc…

2. Blogging – you must have heard that blogging does not pay. Well, it does not until you put some effort to make it more popular. Perhaps, it may take a year or two to see a real income from your blog. Is it worth-waiting for?

It is. One of my clients is earning around $3,000 a month with his 3-year old blog. For 3 years, he continued paying writers to put on articles on his blog regularly. He admitted that for 2 years, he was earning a few hundred dollars which is enough to pay his writers and other expenses for his blog. And just this year, he hit the thousand mark. Now, he is works in a company while maintaining his site, earning dollars while sitting.

3. Programming – programmers are in demand wherever you are. If you have skills or have studied how to make programs, you can easily earn thousands of dollars while doing the things you do best. I can’t say much about this because I am not a programmer myself. But I also know some people who are earning so well working as programmers. Most of them are freelancers like me.

There are others who make generous amount each month making website themes; one of the most popular blogging platforms is WordPress, and that’s what I’m using with this site. There are people who became rich making WordPress themes and selling them online.
The Requirements

You might be asking about the things you will need to start earning online. Well, there’s not much;

1. Computer – we are talking of earning online, it follows you will need the most important thing to be used–it’s a computer.

2. Internet Connection – you will also need this one very badly. You can go to a café and pay for hourly rate. But trust me, it’s a hassle and you cannot communicate with your clients if you needed to. If it is possible for you to have a connection at home, then go for it.

3. Time – this is your investment. If you have a permanent job, you can find online jobs that do not require you to stay in front of your computer for a long time. I was working in a call center when I started writing articles.
The Bottom Line

The good thing about making money online is that you have control over your time; you can surely work whenever you prefer to work. However, if you have clients waiting for your service, you might as well set a fixed time to work on your projects.
