CEBU CITY, Philippines – Local and international DJs and numbers of sought-after bands at night and bazaar booths and food stalls all day are among the highlighted features of the 2012 Sinulog Festival, Sinulog weekend.
Beyond the aforementioned highlights are a number of exciting events orchestrated by the premier business district of Cebu, Cebu Business Park, and Cebu’s premier destination for dining and shopping, Ayala Center Cebu. All these are designed to add up this year’s Sinulog festivity.
The 2012 Sinulog Sound Series kicks off January 13th (Friday) until January 15th (Sunday), at Cebu Business Park’s Sumilon Road, behind CIC.
January 13, Friday night events include: Franco’s concert at the park and the hottest local bands gig; featuring Powerspoonz, Nikki J, Who’s Next, Foc Fashion and Sugbuwanon.
January 14, Saturday night highlights include the following:
7:00 – 9:00PM: Clothes for Life Foundation to brag patented creations by Cebu’s top designers
9:00PM onwards: Havianas Flipflop and Boracay Rhum party featuring DJ John and DJ Misty of Singapore
January 15, Sunday features: the Sinulog celebration bird’s eye-view, made possible by taking off on a helicopter ride with “Eye in the Sky” of Y101. This will take place at Cebu Business Park’s Pescadores Road, behind CIC.
The much-awaited grand fireworks display referred to as “Symphony of Fire” will be launch at 9:00PM of the final night of the Sinulog weekend. Party continues after the fireworks display, with some guests and local bands to rock the venue until midnight.
