Kodak Theatre Hollywood, California – Christian Bale wins his first Oscar Award as Best Actor in a Supporting Role today. He starred as Dicky Eklund, a fighter who has beaten Sugar Ray during the peak of his boxing career.

Among his other movies are Dark Knight, Harsh Times, Batman Begins, Reign of Fire, and a lot more.

 

It was apparent how happy he was upon recieiving the award in his hand. Almost teary-eyed, Bale said:

“I didn’t think I was like this… My wonderful wife and our little girl, who’s taught me so much more than I’ll ever be able to teach her.”

 

He expressed his sentiments and gratefulness the moment he took the stage thanking all people who have worked with him and starred with him.

He is even more thankful to the person he impersonates, Dicky Eklund, saying:

“Where’s my quacker? Hey, mate, you’re the best! He’s had a wonderful story, and I can’t wait to see the next chapter. If you want to be a champ, go train with him! Check him out, he deserves it!”

With an Oscar Award in hand, people are expecting much from him in his new projects and movies.
