For more than six years of living in Siaton, I never found a good computer shop that could provide reliable services until today. Just this afternoon I had to redeem my desktop from Orange Computer Solutions that I sent for repair yesterday. It took them just 24 hours to diagnose and repair my unit which is fairly fast. I had to pay P550.00 for they charge P450.00 as a flat rate fee. Since they spent around P80.00 buying components for my busted power supply unit (PSU), they charged additional P100.00 which is a fair price, of course.
I got my 8-year old Pentium 4 computer repaired for just P550.00 within 24 hours. Considering I had to wait for two weeks with other computer shops in Dumaguete just to be told that I had to replace the random access memory (RAM) of my unit, Orange Computer Solutions’ service is fairly good, fast and worth every Peso that comes out of your pocket. But since this establishment is fairly new in Siaton, many of the people who own computers may not have experience with them, so in this post I will try to write everything that everyone wants to know about their services.
Customer Service
I had to stop by the shop to inquire and there were two people who greeted me. I know their names but I haven’t asked for permission to publish them here. For privacy sake, I would address these people as “them” for now until they agree I put their names in this review. But anyway, they are accommodating enough to make you feel comfortable talking with them. They will address you as “sir” or “maam” so you wouldn’t really feel being ridiculed. I believe addressing you like that is the best one could offer if you are in Siaton. So, for customer service, Orange Computer Solutions is cool.
Expertise
I haven’t really seen how these guys do the work but having been able to determine that a capacitor and a diode inside my PSU were the reasons why my desktop had to shut down all of the sudden, that’s one thing they do mean business. Basically, there are only 5 components to look into when experiencing problems with your computer; the central processing unit (CPU), random access memory (RAM), hard disk drive (HDD), power supply unit (PSU), and motherboard. I will immediately replace any of these components if I know where the problem lies but I would never go as far as troubleshooting the PSU to determine if there are busted components. But for these, guys, they were able to find the root of the problem and I believe they are experts in their line of work. Otherwise, my desktop shouldn’t have been repaired or I was told I had to replace anything in it. So, for expertise, well, you can count on them.
Honesty
They were honest to tell me they had to spend around P80.00 to replace a couple of components on my PSU. They told me everything that they did on my unit and I take their word for them. I wouldn’t care if they told me that they looked into my files because basically, it’s just my son’s gaming PC, so there’s nothing in my hard drive really. Basing on the way they talk, I bet these guys are honest.
Price
Again, they charged me P550.00 for diagnosing the problem, replacing two components in my PSU, reformatting and installing fresh OS on my hard drive without deleting my files, and they did everything in 24 hours. So, I guess it’s worth it. I was expecting I would have to replace one of the components but I was lucky they know how to repair power supplies so I don’t have to buy one.
Would you use their service again?
Absolutely. I have another two P4 CPU’s lying around the corner of our house. I would try and sent them one after the other and see if they would be able to bring those old computers back to life.
I was told they are also selling computers at a lower price. They said that they get the components directly from the manufacturers so basically the price is lower than what retailers in Negros Oriental offer. If you are planning to buy a computer unit, you might as well consult them so that you would be given the right advice you need to get the best bang for your buck.
So, there you go! I would rate Orange Computer Solutions 5/5. It’s a perfect score for a perfect service.
