I’ve had a good laugh while watching this movie. For Eugene Domingo’s (Precy) role, I’m not really surprised about it. In fact, I was expecting her role to be just what it was.
Yes, she was funny in a sense that I know what her role is and am expecting those punch lines and stupid-like acts.
Toni Gonzaga (Belay), on the other hand, played an unusual role of a Japayuki. I never saw her play that role since, so it’s a treat for me seeing her play something that people do not expect from her.
Their leading men are good, although, I haven’t got enough laugh from Zanjoe. But I couldn’t think of another male celebrity to take his role.
Generally, the movie went well and it served its purpose, somehow. But if you’ve seen Eugene Domingo’s “Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank” and compare it with this movie, you’ll immediately know “Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi” is under rated.
Having been able to watch other movies directed by Jose Javier Reyes, I could say that he could have done better with this one.
About the plot, well, it’s a typical Filipino story and I’ve known a lot of people who have spent too much with pyramid scam and ended just like Eugene Domingo and Wendell Ramos in this movie.
I’ve got two friends whose girl friends have been abroad to make a living with a promise that when they return, a marriage will take place but ended up marrying other people.
When it comes to the comedy factor, yes, I’ve had a good laugh but when the movie was finished, I never wanted to see it again. There were a lot of boring parts in the story and it seems to me those moments are just a waste of time.
But I don’t know how people see it as long as for me, I would rate it 6 out of 10, and I don’t have to explain why.
